NAN – The police have arraigned a 28-year-old man, Modiu Diallo, before a Surulere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos for allegedly defiling a 7-year-old girl in a mosque.

The accused who was arraigned on Monday, August 1, is alleged to have committed the offence at about 6am on July 13, at Iponri Central Mosque, Surulere, Lagos, according to the prosecutor Sgt. Anthonia Osayande, The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

“It is a shameful act and that should not be condoled,” she said.
